About 10 years ago, Danny was randomly given an ax by a complete stranger. No explanation. No backstory. Just… here you go. (Weird? Umm...yes.)

That strange moment sparked the name, but the vision Danny received, and a shove straight from the Lord, are what turned it into Bearded Ax Brewery.

So if you’re wondering who you’ll meet when you come through our doors… Danny’s the guy who:
Loves cooking almost as much as brewing.
Has reached the age where bird watching and sunset photos are all of a sudden a "thing."
Gives man-hugs that last just a little too long (he’s very secure in his masculinity).
Has been known to crash gatherings in random costumes and characters.

Every circus needs a ringleader, and at Bearded Ax, that’s Anna. She’s the one spinning the plates, orchestrating the fun, and making sure Danny’s wild ax-vision actually runs day to day.

Her official title? Owner and Holy Mischief Boss.
Her unofficial ones? Logistical ninja. Spreadsheet whisperer. Radical hospitality evangelist.

Meet Randy & Jamie — Managing Partners & Heads of Culinary Mischief

Every Ax needs a flavor mastermind, and Randy is the guy who literally dreams in spices and sauces. Together with Jamie, they’re the duo behind Bearded Ax’s menu of creative comfort food that’s equal parts bold, comforting, and just a little rebellious.

They bleed burnt orange as proud University of Texas fans (sorry, not sorry).
Randy can oddly rock an adult romper like it’s runway couture.
Jamie’s got dance-floor vibes for days—you’ll want to join in or just get out of the way.
They’re a full-blown softball family. On game day, don’t even bother trying to chat—they’re locked in.

Jeff’s our General Manager, which basically means he’s the guy making sure your pint comes with a smile, your food lands hot, and the whole place hums like a well-tuned guitar. He’s been in the hospitality game for 22 years—long enough to know when you need a refill and when you just need a sympathetic nod.

At 47, he’s basically a Jedi of restaurants and bars.
His closet? Half T-shirt archive, half shoe museum—proof that “too many” is not a real number.
Off shift, he splits his loyalty between the Sacramento Kings and the Seattle Seahawks (weird combo, but we don’t judge).

OUR NAME

We get asked a lot: “So… why Bearded Ax?” Is it because the owner has a glorious beard? Nope. Though let’s be honest, it doesn’t hurt. The name goes back to 2015, when a stranger randomly handed our owner an ax. No explanation. Just… handed it over. (Yes, it was weird. No, he hasn’t recovered.) Turns out, the long, curved extension on the blade? That’s called the beard of the ax. And historically, that “beard” was used in battle to hook onto shields and pull them down. That image stuck. Because the more we thought about it, the more it felt… right. Bearded Ax is about more than beer. It’s about lowering our shields.
